Quick & Simple One-Pot Beef & Green Beans

Minimal ingredients. One pot. Fast cook. This is a reliable β€œdefault” batch you can repeat without thinking too hard.

Ingredients (β‰ˆ6 lb batch)

  • Protein:
    • 3 lbs lean ground beef (or diced lean beef)
  • Vegetables:
    • 3 lbs green beans (fresh or frozen)
  • Fats (optional):
    • 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil (optional)
  • Liquid:
    • 1–2 cups water or unsalted beef/chicken broth (as needed)

Cooking Instructions – One Pot (β‰ˆ35 min total)

  1. Brown the beef. In a large pot over medium heat, cook beef until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Add green beans + liquid. Stir in green beans and 1 cup water/broth.
  3. Simmer. Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes until green beans are tender.
  4. Finish. Stir well. Add oil if using. Add a splash more liquid if you want a softer mix.
  5. Cool completely. Cool before portioning and storing.

Daily Feeding Guidelines

  • Small dogs: ½–¾ lb per day
  • Medium dogs: 1–1.5 lbs per day
  • Large dogs: 2–3 lbs per day
