Lamb It Up Pup - Wholesome Homemade Dog Food Recipe
How to Prepare
-
Cook the Lamb. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the
coconut oil and allow it to melt.
Add the ground lamb in batches and cook for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and fully cooked.
Set aside to cool.
-
Steam the rice in a
rice cooker.
-
Cook the sweet potatoes. Wash off the sweet potatoes. Place them in an
electric pressure cooker.
Do not peel them. Add enough water to completely cover the sweet potatoes.
Cook on a high pressure setting for 15 minutes. Once done, remove and let cool.
-
Cook the remaining vegetables together. Wash and break carrots into smaller pieces so they fit at the bottom
of the pressure cooker. Place carrots in the cooker and add the green beans on top. Cook on high pressure
for 15 minutes. Once the cooking cycle is over, drain the water.
-
Combine all ingredients. Add the steamed rice to the mixing bowl of a
stand mixer.
Add the cooked lamb. Take the sweet potatoes, remove and discard the skin.
The inside should separate easily. Add the sweet potatoes to the mixing bowl,
followed by the remaining vegetables. Mix until homogeneous.
-
Transfer into
storage containers.
Refrigerate for up to 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
